TODAY: LOVE FIGHTS BACK- A Rally for #ImmigrantNY
Over the weekend, the New York Immigration Coalition released breaking information about Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in New York. While ICE claims they are conducting “routine, targeted operations”, we see the beginnings of a ramp-up in arrests, detentions and deportations that is extremely concerning. These actions do not help make us safer - and instead tear families apart, hobble our economies, and corrode the bonds of trust that tie New Yorkers together.
At the same time, President Trump is now considering new options to impose a new immigration travel ban.
On Tuesday, February 14th, Valentine’s Day, we are calling on all New Yorkers to join the NYIC to show your love for and solidarity with immigrant communities, and to protect and stand up for immigrant communities under attack.
