NYIC Dispatch from Rally Against SB1070
The New York Immigration Coalition headed to D.C on Wednesday, April 25th, with a bus full of our community members, to join close to 1000 people standing united against Arizona's "show me your papers" law, SB1070. As the Supreme Court discussed the constitutionality of the law, outside the court, families, parents, children, DREAMers, faith leaders, activists, advocates, laborers, unions, and concerned individuals from all walks of life made the statement that we will not put up with hateful and divisive anti-immigrant laws.
While the Supreme Court deliberates until June, our communities will keep a strong and united front to combat these divisive policies and continue to push for just comprehensive immigration reform.
Here are some photos from Wednesday, to keep you inspired as we continue working for justice together.
