Today the House of Representatives considered amendments to the $39.7 million spending bill for the U.S Department of Homeland Security. In a GOP-led vote meant to obstruct President Obama’s executive actions to provide immigration relief, anti-immigrant measures were passed to eliminate Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and strip funding from the administrative relief initiative Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA).
