Civic Participation

(New York, NY) The New York Immigration Coalition expressed concern and outrage at the series of anti-Islam advertisements due to appear on 100 city buses in New York City. The ad campaign, which is scheduled to run for four weeks, was paid for by the "American Freedom Defense Initiative". The NYIC stands with our member groups representing Muslim, Arab, and South Asian communities to say that we will not tolerate hate and bigotry.
