Tuesday, December 19, 2017WASHINGTON, D.C. - This evening, New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) staff, members, and New York DREAMers were arrested during a demonstration of civil disobedience at the congressional offices of the United States Senate in Washington D.C. At that time, the NYIC and advocacy partners staged a sit-in at the various congressional office as an act of civil disobedience. Afterwards, the activists and advocates met with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) to discuss next steps.
